MCB has now a physical presence in Dubai via the opening of a Representative Office in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) for the marketing of MCB Group financial service or financial products. This marks an important milestone with regards to MCB’s strategy in extending our frontiers.
Sebastian Graewert has been appointed as the Chief Representative and he will cover the MENA and Asia region. Sebastian is a senior banker with more than 20 years industry experience and who has been working in the Middle East region since 2006. He has a proven track record in client coverage, business development and tailored client solutions. During his career in advising and servicing clients, he also developed extensive market knowledge and regulatory requirements relating to the DIFC as well as other regional jurisdictions.
Sebastian was previously Senior Investment Adviser at Equalis Capital Limited, a Single family Office registered in the DIFC, advising the beneficiary on direct investments as well as private market fund investments deals. Prior to that, he headed the Representative Offices in Dubai for CA Indosuez Wealth Management and for UBS, where he focused on developing and furthering business relationships with private and institutional clients.
Sebastian started his career with Credit Suisse in 1997, where for 14 years he was based between London, Zurich and Dubai. He initially had an advisory role towards the energy and utility clients of the Investment Banking Division, before moving to the Private Banking Division, to develop bespoke structuring, financing and investment solutions for the Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) and Family Office clients.
Sebastian holds a Master in Management from EAP Paris-Oxford-Berlin.
